Tina Wang is a self-taught watercolor artist and plein air painter based in Dongguan, China. She is known for painting from life, capturing places as they are, in the moment through urban sketching and on-location watercolor. Her main subjects include traditional architecture, street scenes, and nature, expressed with a balance of structure and feeling. Alongside her plein air practice, she has strong experience in portraits, still life, and floral works, bringing careful observation and emotional depth to each subject.

Tina’s painting philosophy is personal and direct: “My watercolor is my inner journey toward freedom—so don’t be afraid to paint what your heart truly feels.” For her, watercolor is not only a technique, but a way of living, an honest record of what she sees and what she feels. She encourages artists to paint with courage, to trust their inner voice, and to let the work reflect their true emotional world.

Over the years, Tina has participated in both solo and group exhibitions in local and international settings. Her work has received multiple awards and recognitions from respected national and international watercolor events and competitions, reflecting her consistency, skill, and artistic voice.

Beyond painting, Tina is dedicated to building creative communities and supporting artist tools. She founded Encore Fine Arts Studio and is also the founder of Sicon Art, a traditional Chinese brush brand designed for artists who appreciate expressive line work and craftsmanship.
